Red Flush set a two-mile track record for .Nelson when he won the President's Handicap last year in 4min 27 4-sset King's Jubilee is a half-brother by Jack Potts to Rongomai. He has only to become solid to win races. Happi, who is engaged again, won at Nelson last year in 2min 47 4-ssec, good mile and a quarter time fot the track.

King Franz has started four times this season, and finished third over two miles at Awapuni in 4min 56 2-ssec. He sticks on well.

Ace High gave evidence Of stamina by the manner in which he won over a mile and a half at Hutt Park last season.

Glen Travis had been placed in a number of his races this season before entering the winning list on the West Coast. He does not look out of place at Nelson. - It is reported that the brood mare White Satin recently changed owners at a considerable sum. She had a Van Derby foal at foot. White Satin was foaled in 1926, and got by Wrack from Pearl Pointer, by Logan Pointer. Noon has done well at West Coast Meetings this season. His first appearance reßUlted in victory over a mile tat Westport in 2min 19 3-ssec, and he was second in a mile and a half event at the same, meeting. Last season Savoldi displayed stamina in the Suburban Handicap at Wanganui, when,- after setting a solid pace, he was beaten into third place by Trevor de Oro and Mountain Flight, who, off 4min 63sec, ran 4min 30sec and 4min 30 l-ssec respectively. Savoldi went 4mih 32 2-ssec off 4min 55sec. Logan Palm, who raced last season at Auckland, won the chief race at Reefton last month, after a fine finish with Slippery Sam.
