The- first Dunedln Trotting Cup was run in 1910. and won by Walnut; in 4finln 6ft'2<j»ec. The following year Wilkie won in 4min 39sec, and Dillon Bell made a further, reduction by win» ning in 4min 36sec. Great Bingen created A race record when he won in 4min 31 2-ssec in 1924, and when Logan Chief won in 1925 he put up 4min 29 l-ssec, and was the first winner to break 4min SOsec. Hegal Voyage won in 4mln 24sec in 1932, and this stands as the race record. It was closely approached by Willow Wave When he WOh last year in 4min 24 4-6 sec, and again yesterday when he went 4min 24 2-ssec. The Forbury Park track record was put up by Big Author in .November last; when he won in 4min 19sec.
