A SUCCESSFUL COMEDY.
Gerald Savory (who*is the son of Grace Lane, English actress who was in Australia a few years ago) has decidedly secured a winner in his successful comedy, "George .and Margaret,", which had a great run In London. Described as another variation of Noel Coward's "Hay .Fever" theme, it is a' realistic presentation of odd domestic complications. There is the mother who manages her family even less, well Lhan she manipulates her inadequate duster; the daughter who alternates between cooling and boiling points in •egard to her love affairs; a charming father and other domestic .characters who provide amusement from start to inish. Light comedy such as "George md Margaret".is very popular in England. Mr. Savory's play has also been secured for American production. It :s also possible that it will be played' ;hroughoufe New Zealand by Miss :Fay Compton and her company. '
