FAREWELL PARTIES
LEAVING FOR AUCKLAND
Mrs. Weir, accompanied by' her daughter, Miss Keittia Weir, will leave tomorrow night by the Limited express for Auckland to join her husband, Lieut.-Colonel W. McD. Weir, who has been General -Staff Officer to the' Northern Command.
Yesterday evening; Miss Valeric Robertson gave a "flveo'clock" party at her home in Hobson Street for Miss Weir, about 40 of Miss Weir's young friends being present. The hostess wore a long navy blue chiffon frock patterned with red and white daisies, and the guest of honour was wearing a navy blue ensemble and furs. In the afternoon Mrs. T. J. King entertained Mrs. Weir and her daughter at a tea party at the Hotel St. George, and tomorrow afternoon Mrs. J. LI. Saunders, of Lower Hutt, will give a party in their honour.
