"NICE GOINGS ON"
New Musical Comedy.
■ With1 all-the-colour, spectacle, and gaiety of the previous two offerings, the J. C. Williamson company entered upon its last two days of the Wellington season, at the New Opera House, yesterday, with the production Nice Goings On." Tonight is the.last night, and it is anticipated that Wellington patrons will seize this final opportunity of witnessing such an entertaining performance. George Gee, the famous- comedian, is, of course, one of the leading lights, and his subtlety and genef&l wit keep the audience in a state of hilarity throughout "Nice Goings On" deals with the experiencesof Henscuttle, a civil servant, whose attempts at .promotion .are.' thwarted with unfailing regularity, .much to the disgust, of ;his fiancee .and _ the amusement 6t his fellow-workers.-How-ever, as-a'representative' of the department for uplifting the morals of the public, he ■ disguises i himself m an enormous moustache, and ■ departs to a Scandinavian pleasure resort to .spyon and report to his office the gomgs ■on", of the trippers to the resort. The incidents are,deliciously.funny and in several cases the services of the very ] efficient ballet are called on. His friend and fellow-spy, Wurlitzer, assists him in his uplifting endeavours, and the performance ends on a note of triumph for Henscuttle, upon- whom }s bestowed th&.bist£3teliQßO«C^O*h»^dlSi
