' By Telegraph—Press Association.) . . PALMERSTON N.; This Day. ■ At an inquest concerning the electrocution on Monday of a six-year-old boy, who touched a broken service . line leading to a city house, the Coroner, Mr. A. J. Graham, said it was ' very much to be regretted that the resident affected by the line concerned , did not report to the city authorities! the previous night that the wires Were I swinging and had put the house lights J out. The same resident had commit-, ted an error of judgment in not im- . mediately reporting to • the; authorities pfior to the accident that a wire was broken. Had he done that the acci- ■ dent might not have occurred. The witness concerned said he thought that when the Jights went out ■ there was no danger. He had a»ranged at 12.40 p.m. with his son to re- . port the break on, the latter's' return ' to work after lunch. ;!;, Expert evidence was. given that many people thought that 230 volts, as Van such a line, could not kill a person. That impression was very wrong.
