MISS MITCHELL FOR SYDNEY

The Aucldand javelin thrower, Miss M. Mitchell, who was not permitted to leave with the other members of the New Zealand team from Wellington last Thursday because she was declared to be suffering from German measles, is to leave Auckland this evening by the Awatea to compete at the British Empire Games in Sydney. According to advice received locally, Miss Mitchell has been given a clearance by the chief medical officer of the Health Department at Auckland.
