LIGHTER CALENDAR
Prisoners will be sentenced in the Supreme Court tomorrow by Mr. Justice Blair at 9.45, and at 10 o'clock the Chief Justice (Sir Michael Myers) will make fixtures for the coming civil session. Although the. new sessions of the Court do not open until Tuesday, a case in which compensation is claimed for land taken by proclamation will follow the making of fixtures. ■ .
The criminal session will not be heavy. There will be about' eight trials, and it is anticipated that the session will last for a fortnight.l One of the cases will probably last for three days. On the civil : list- there r will be about fourteen trials before juries, and the usual amount of other business. T.he sessions, taken.together, are rather lighter than the last' two of last year.
