URBAN MORTGAGES

SOUTHLAND COMMISSION

At a meeting of the Executive Council held this morning . a Southland urban commission was appointed for the purposes of the Mortgagors and Lessees Rehabilitation Act, . the members being Mr. John Tait, solicitor, Invercargill, and Mr. R. B. Meek, valuer, Invercargill.

"This commission will deal with the generality of urban cases in Southland," the Attorney-General (the Hon. H. G. R. Mason) stated, "and. the re-cently-constituted Invercargill urban commission consisting of Messrs. E. Russell and Meek will be retained to function as an auxiliary commission in those cases in which Mr. Tait is unable to sit."
