SUPERANNUATION SCHEME
Cabinet was engaged for two hours this mourning on Departmental business and is continuing with similar work this afternoon. The Prime Minister (the Pi. Hon. M. J. Savage) stated at the luncheon interval that there were sufficient! Departmental matters to occupy the rest of the day and it was unlikely that legislative matters would be discus ised. Legislation for the proposed national superannuation scheme had already been discussed at length, Mr. Savage added, and the many points thai had arisen wane now being brought toigether so that Cabinet could frame proposals. The Minister of Finance (the Hon. W. Nash) and his officers were busy on that work and when the proposals were ready for consideration Cahiaiet would go over them before submitting them to the caucus meetings an ranged to commence on February 1(4.
