NCAIO RED CROSS DANCE
A patriotic air prevailed in the Ngaio Town Hall on Wednesday, when the re-cently-formed Ngaio Sub-centre of the Wellington Red Cross Society held its first annual dance. Flags and balloons were used to decorate the room, which presented a very cheery appearance. A smartly-uniformed women's orchestra supplied the music, and was kept busy responding to many encores. Novelty dances were introduced, and were much enjoyed. A home-made "wagon" supper was served.
Mr. B. S. Lynneberg, the patron, was present, as were various. representatives from branches in Wellington.
The committee, which was congratulated heartily for the success of the dance, comprised:—Mrs. P. Thomas (secretary), Mr. C. Moffatt (treasurer), Mrs. E. Wilson (chairman), Mr. and Mrs. M. S. Galloway, Mrs. T. Gorton, Mrs. Macßae, Mrs. McNab, Miss Dick. Miss Roberts, Miss Levastam, Miss Anderson, Miss Jennings, and Miss Nichols.
