LOCAL POSITION NORMAL v

Referring to the reported outbreak of diphtheria at Masterton, the Medical Officer of Health at Wellington (Dr. F. S. Maclean) stated today that it had occurred in an orphanage and was confined to that institution. The position locally was quite normal. He added that this was the time of the year for the complaint. There were no notification's of infantile paralysis in Wellington during the twenty-four hours ended at noon today.
