EMERGENCY LANDING

CRASH iNTO CHURCH

MELBOURNE* June 9<

In a dense fog an aeroplane crashed into a suburban church this evening after cruising for an hour over tlia city seeking a landing place. The aeroplane, carrying two members of the Victorian Flying School, Messrs. P. McAlister and N. Sloan, was returning from Seridigo. Approaching the City, it.entered a fog, lost its bearings, and flew found seeking ah aerodrome. it ran short of petrol and came low seeking an emergency landing place. It then crashed into the church. The machine was wrecked and the church slightly; damaged. Sloan was slightly injured, but McAlister was unhurt.
