BLACKWATER MINES RETURN.

Blackwater Mines, Ltd., return for May, 1937. is:—Crushed, 3590 tons, yielding 1367 fine ounces of gold from all sources, the value of which, taking gold at 140s Gd a line ounce, was £9599. Working expenses were £7521, leaving a working'profit of £2078. Development expenditure was £661, and capital expenditure £634.

The appointment of Mr. Albert Clyde Shaw as manager and director of Clinton Williams Pty., Ltd., makes him one of the youngest men in Australian business to hold such a position. At the age of 32 Mr. Shaw now [takes charge of this big Sydney company, controlling the merchandising of a large number of proprietary medicines and toilet articles throughout Australia and New.Zealand. For.the past seven years, as secretary and then as manager, he has been in close contact with Clinton Williams Pty., Ltd., and their overseas connections, and has controlled their advertising in this country lor some time. The vacancy on the board of directors of the firm was occasioned by the death last year of Mr. Arthur Eoynton. The control of the Wylie B. Jones Advertising Agency is being taken over by Mr. W. T. McClelland, and the Clinton Williams New Zealand office will continue to be controlled by Mr. E. G., Cichero.
