TREATMENT IN PRISON
AN UNUSUAL TRIBUTE

AUCKLAND, This Day.
"I would like to thank you, sir and the Court for the opportunity afforded me to-bring my health back-to normal in the prison hospital. The treatment given' me was more than I expected." This unusual tribute *to the curative treatment afforded him whilo on remand was paid by a man who appeared before Mr. Wyvern Wilson on a charge of being found in a state of helpless drunkenness on June 3.
The' police said that when the man was remanded last week he was in a Very bad way. This morning he had fully recovered and was bright and cheerful.
The Magistrate convicted the man and ordered him to pay £1 10s expenses.
