AUCKLAND MEETING

PROPOSED BROADCAST

AUCKLAND, June 8.

No reply was received today by the B Stations Protection Committee from the ■ Acting Minister of Broadcasting (the Hon. F. Jones) to its request for permission to broadcast a meeting to be held in the Town Hall to discuss the future of B stations.

The committee received ' a telegram from the Minister, however, confirming his earlier request for copies of speeches to be delivered. Speakers informed the committee that they did not have copies, but an outline of the four main speeches was sent by tonight's mail.
