GOOD CORNWALL RECORD
When Valmint failed by half a head in the ■ Cornwall • Handicap at Ellersie last Saturday, he just failed'to give Mr. B. Goldwater his third win in the race. If he had succeeded he would also have been the third generation of his family to win. Valmint's grandam Loloma was yic.toridus in" 1916. and his dam Lomint won in 1927. Both-carried the colours of Mr. B. Goldwater and they were fine performers under winter conditions; Valmint, who has" inherited their ability to act well in heavy going was having his first race at a mile and a quarter in open company and was responsible for a/ splendid showing.
