HOLIDAY AT AUCKLAND

AUCKLAND, This Day.

A spectacular naval, and military ceremonial parade was the main feature of the King's Birthday holiday at Auckland. Three thousand mcii and officers marched, from places of assembly 'to the inner Domain, where, in a march past before 10,000 people in glorious sunshine, the salute was taken by Rear-Admiral the Hon. E. R. Drummond.. The parade was commanded by Colonel R. Miles, D.5.0., Officer Commanding the Northern Command.

A large crowd went to Ellerslie for the second day of the Great Northern Meeting. There are also good attendances at various other sporting fixtures.
