RUGBY, June 8.

Asked whether, should the Non-in-tervention Committee cease to operate, the Foreign Secretary would make it clear that the Government would not permit an invasion or conquest of Spain by any foreign Power, Viscount Cranborne said that he was glad of the opportunity of emphasising, as his Majesty's Government had made clear on several occasions, and in particular when the Spanish question was before the Council of the League of Nations last month, that the preservation of the territorial integrity of Spain was a matter of great moment to the Government.
