There was a good attendance at the range last evening when the second monthly competition was commenced, The first month's competition -esulted in A. MacDowall winning with 279.40, K. MacDowall runner-up. The B grade was won by M. Jolly, 278.93, with I. Kendrick, 278.52, runner-up. The holders of the Nickless Buttons for the week are 'A. McDonald and R. Mailman. MUNICIPAL CLUB. Last Thursday evening the Municipal Club held the first shoot of. this month's competitions. The leading scores were: S. Owen 70 end 6S, L. Anderson 69 and 69, A. Ford 69, L. Cooze 68, F. Williams OS. J. Jenklus 67. G. Hennessy 67. and 6G. Tho ties that were shot off to complete last month's competitions resulted as follows .-—Section 1: A. Ford 1. Miss Murray 2. Section 3: G. Sims 1, Miss Calclnai 2. AOTEA CLUB. Two possibles were registered at the Aotea Club last Wednesday by F. Harris and J. Stewart respectively, R. Dawson, Mrs. Dawson, H. Hunt, and W. Scambary got 68. and T. Goodall, G. Renner, and J. Stephens 67. Several first-year mcmb6rs arc showing a marked improvement and Jn some cases their handicaps have been reduced for the current series.
foursome' medal was won by W. Martin and H. West, with 73, closely followed by G. J. Stevenson and G. Redward, 74; D. W. Barclay and C. Nausbaum, 75; B. W. Stephenson and W. Gotleib, 75; L Cathro and S. Cossins, 73; O. G. Olsen and Bill Blake. 79; E. A. Selman and S. Braham, 80. In the first round of the J. W. Martin Cup, G. J. Stevenson beat W. Barnard at the nineteenth, and E. Selman beat L. Cathro, 4 and 3. In the first round of the T. Remain Cup, B. Burdetf beat J. S. Harrison. 3, and 1. • Tomorrow the annual presidents v. club captain's match will be played, partners to be drawn at the clubhouse.
