I Mr. and Mrs. D. H. Stewart, Waij marama, Hawke's Bay, will leave to- : morrow by the Wanganella for a holii day in Sydney, Java, and Singapore. They expect to return about the middle of August.' Mrs. C. Johnson, Wellington, who ' has been staying with her daughter,; I Mrs. J. A. Mullins. Timaru, is now I visiting Mrs. P. R. .Woodhouse, "Blue--1 cliffs." Mrs. Fyte, sen., Heretaunga,. and her daughter, Mrs. Latta, Wellington, who were the guests of Mrs. W. C. Fyfa, Hawera, returned home at the weekend. Mrs. J. Beckett, who has been visiting her mother, Mrs. George Webster, New Plymouth, returned to Wellington today. Mrs. L. C. Boulton is a Wellington visitor to Christchurch. Mrs. W. J. Ewart, New Plymouth who' has been visiting Wellington, returned home during the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. H.. Earl, Christchurch. who are at present in Wellington, will leave this week by the Wanganella to visit Sydney and Melbourne^ Dr. Elsbeth Fitzgerald,. Timaru, is visiting her mother, Mrs. A. Cameron, "Marangai," Wanganui. Mrs. Elizabeth Loe, tutor for the New Zealand branch of the British Drama League, arrived in Christchurch from Wellington oh Sunday, and was the guest of Mrs. H. SpenceClark for the weekend. Miss H. Newton, who has been visit-1 ing Mr. and Mrs. H. E. B. Newton, St. j John's .Hill, Wanganui, has returned to the South Island. Mrs.. D. R. Welch, Ngaruawahia, is spending a holiday in Wellington, and is the guest of Mrs. F. Phythian, Lyali Bay. Mrs. J. Taylor (Auckland), Mrs. W. Nottingham and Mrs. R. G. Edwards (Christchurch), Miss D. Bsgnall and Miss J. Armstrong (Gisborne) are among the guests at the Royal Oak Hotel. ' Mrs. Hugh McLaren. Masterton, is visiting Wellington,'and is staying at the Midland Hotei. ■ Mrs. J. B. Price (Napier), Mrs. T. Bird (Auckland), and Mrs. P. N. Welch (Christchurch) are guests at the Grand Hotel ■-:.,;.',: -.■'■• Mesdames J. Clapcott (Palmerston North), E. Weston '(Auckland), S.
