THE POWER OF THOUGHT
The members of the Women's Study Circle spent a most enjoyable afternoon when one of their members, Mrs. Brady, gave a talk on "Something we all do."
"What we all do is to think," said the speaker. Everyone knows the trite saying, "As a man thinks in his heart so is he." But how few take the lesson to heart, and learn to build up their characters by their thoughts. Thought was creative and could completely change our lives, and also influence other people either, for good or evil. It was a force, an energy. In this sense we were all mental radio stations, every brain is a generator and a receiver of the waves of thought. A good thought was never wasted. For like always produced like. "Do a thought drill," she said, "and begin the day with happy smiling thoughts and so influence all those around us to do the same."
The president (Mrs. Lineker) thanked Mrs. Brady for her address, which was warmly applauded.
