AUCKLAND, This Day. With the weather showery since the first- day, the conditions for Great Northern Steeplechase Day at. Eilerslie tomorrow may be even worse. The fields are quite good, though they will be smaller in some of me jumping Hu'skie is in two races, the Hurdles and the Steeplechase. Apart from this, the Great Northern field is just about, what was expected, with many more starters than usual. The other events on the programme should furnish keen contests and improved performances may be coming Irom Pirate King. De Friend, Lucidus, and Jewelled Girdle, the last-named having run quite a good race in the Cornwall Handicap. fForm horses are:— . Hunt Cup.—All Irish, Kinkle, Rozel.
