GISBORNE. This Day.

Providing plenty of excitement for a packed house John Spellman and Hal Rumberg wrestled a draw on Saturday night. Spellman pinned his opponent in the third round after n series of dumps and in the sixth round he appeared likely to get another fall buc the gong saved Rumberg. The latter came out strongly in the seventh round and when Spellman hurled him against the ropes he came off with a flying body scissors, driving the lighter man to the mat and scoring the equalising fall.
