SKEET CHAMPIONSHIP
CALDWELL THE WINNER
The first New Zealand skeet shooting championship, held' at Taita on Saturday, resulted in a win for A. Caldwell (Hutt Valley). In the first shoot Caldwell, A. E. Robinson (Auckland), and Barnard (Palmerston North) tied for first place, but in the shoot-off Caldwell came out on top. The winner holds the Buckleton Cup for twelve months. Result's were as' follows: — A. Caldwell (Hutt Valley), 18, 18— 36', and 19 in shoot-off ' 1 Barnard (Palmerston North), 20, 16 —36, and 18 in shoot-off 2 A. E. Robinson (Metropolitan, Auckland), 19, 17—36, and 15 in shoot-off 3 Other competitors were: —F. Seccombe (Metropolitan, Auckland), 17, 17—34; H. Smith (Hutt Valley), 16, 17 —33; S. Tisdall (Hutt Valley), 16, 17— 33; T. V. Anson (Hutt Valley), 15, 16 —31; J. Donnelly (Auckland), 16, 15— 31; Buckleton (Hutt Valley), 17, 14— 31; D. A. Ewen (Hutt Valley), 12, 13 —30; J.
