Huia had the advantage of University dn the No. 2 ground duripr the first spell, the students being kv^t on the defensive for most of the time. Snow fell on the hills while iilay was in progress, and the atmosphere was \ery cold, and this may have had an effect on the plaj'ers. The scoring was opened by Huia advancing from" halfway for Dentice to go into the circle, where he passed for Brown to score. A few minutes later Dentice got into pnsilion again and scored a second goal for Huia. The University forward line then went into action in great style, Shaw scoring three Roals and Cole one. With the score 4-all University looked like having a victory, but Brown scored Huia's fifth goal shortly before the close of play. 1 Mr. W. Keys was umpire.
