GROUNDS PROVE HEAVY

Although overhead conditions were reasonable on Saturday afternoon, the grounds at Naenae were in very bad order for the three senior A hockey matches played there, fast play being out of the question. The turf cut up quickly and was so slippery that players came down frequently, especially when an attempt was made to turn quickly. In spite of all disadvantages, however, all three games were interesting, the teams being fairly evenly matched.
