GREYMOUTH IN DARKNESS

GREYMOUTH, June 4.
Greymouth tonight was mostly without electric light and power, due to an interruption to the current about 8.20 p.m. It is believed the interruption was located somewhere in" the town. The officials state that probably the lines were crossed at one point, but it was not ascertained by 11.45 p.m. The service is known to have been overloaded somewhat of late on account of the increased dredging demand. •
