ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL
The second round of the senior Soccer championship will commence tomorrow at the Basin Reserve, when two logical contenders for championship honours, Seatoun and Waterside, will meet. Seatoun defeated Waterside in the first round, but the Waterside team is now vastly improved and has been playing most attractive football in recent engagements. A fast and exciting game is sure to eventuate, and spectators may be assured of plenty of thrills. On No. 2 ground Marist and Technical will try conclusions, and followers of these teams should witness a bright game. Curtainraisers will be played on both grounds at 1.15 p.m. Arrangements have been made to obtain progress reports at the Basin of the first Test, England v. NewZealand, played at Dunedin.
