RUSH OF DONATIONS
ONE BY TELEGRAM
As the list published today shows, there has been a last-minute rush of donations to the King George V Memorial Fund. A striking example of the urge to lodge donations to the fund by June 3 is the case of the donation from the motor-ship Paua. This donation was sent to the Mayor's Fund by moneyorder telegram lodged at Port Nelson.
From promises received it is known that there are still many donations to come to hand, and the Mayor (Mr, T. C. A. Hislop) is glad to be able to assure all late contributors that their donations will receive the Government £ for £ subsidy notwithstanding that they are made later than June 3.
