MR. W. DINWIDDIE

The death has occurred of Mr. William Dinwiddie, for many years editor of the "Hawke's Bay Herald." Before- taking up literary work, Mr. Dinwiddie was a barrister and solicitor. He had been chairman of the secondary education board for many years. He was 74 years, of age. '.
