BRUNETTES NOW.
Norman Reilly Raine has completed the screen play for Warner Bros.-First National's ' forthcoming ; "The ' Gentleman from Kimberley," which will star Warner Baxter and Anita Louise, according to word from the studios. "The Gentleman from Kimberjey," an , exciting drama laid chiefly in the South African diamond fields and in London, is based on an original story by Sheridan Gibney Blondes have lost their sex appeal! So says Oliver Hinsdell, talent director at the Paramount Studios. "There are undoubtedly beautiful natural blondes who have just as much appeal as ever, but the trend is away, from them," Hinsdell said. "Jean Harlow , has let her hair go back to its natural colour; Carole Lombard's hair has resumed its golden hue. There are several seasons for this. Pallor is ghastly to us, once the novelty wears off. In the mad endeavour to follow the mode girls lost sight of their own personalities to become colourless individuals with lifeless hair. After all, the adage that a woman's hair is her crown of glory is not far oft the mark. For example, take the coiffure that Shirley Ross wears in Paramount's 'Waikiki Wedding.' Ther^ is a studied carelessness about it that portrays her as she is—a lovable, viva cious, carefree girl"
