After discussion, it was decided that for the grade championship, the Wellington team, which has ten points, should, in remaining in the second division, drop two points to bring the team level in points with University, the promoted team. Poneke and Petone, the promoted teams from the senior B, will also take eight points each, which means that by being promoted they drop some ponits. Senior B. University v. Eastbourne, Hutt A v. Porirua, Hutt B v. Onslow, Marist Bros. Old Boys v. Wellington College Old Boys, Wellington a bye. Grounds will be arranged. A senior A (second division) player who was ordered off last Saturday for punching was stood down for one playing Saturday. Reporting on the representative visit to Taranaki last week, Major T. J. King, the manager, said that the game was played in good conditions before a record crowd. The only incident occurred when Pollock charged into a temporary grandstand and was injured, fortunately not for long. The team behaved throughout perfectly, and the captain, H. R. Pollock, and the vice-captain, J. Wells, were of great assistance. Everything possible to make the stay in Hawera pleasant was done and particular thanks were due to Messrs. J. J. O'Sullivan and J. Howe, Taranaki officials who were in attendance on the Wellington team throughout. Transfers were granted to N. D. Barrell, from Utiku to Marist Brothers Old Boys, and J. M. Lindsay, from Wellington to Athletic. The Institute Old Boys Club was granted permission to withdraw its seventh grade team. . Approval of senior and junior matches between the Audit and Public Trust Departments at Kelburn Park on June 23 was given.
