/ ■ (British Official Wireless.) 1 .(Received June 1, 2.30 p.m.) ' RUGBY, May 31. jj k Press communique issued tonight •iff-r the meeting of the Chairman's Sijb-Committee «f the Non-Interven-Uan Committee states that the representatives of the United Kingdom, Belglum, Czechoslovakia, France, Portugal, Sweden, and the U.S.S.K. were presflnt. Captain Euan Wallace, Chairnj.an of the Committee, communicated ti» the Sub-Committee the text of a ]#;tter received from'the German representative explaining why, on instructions from the German Government, Jhe would be unable to be present. •Captain Wallace added that just before the meeting the Italian representative had informed him that for similar reasons he also would be unable to ",be present. The representatives present indi•cated that they proposed to report to -their respective Governments the situation disclosed in the statement -made by the chairman. They also requested the chairman to summon a further meeting as soon as he thought this would be advisable.
