NORTHERN DISTRICTS
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, May 27. Seventeen definite cases of infantile paralysis have been notified to the Health Department in the Auckland central, Thames, and Tauranga health districts since May 1. Of these patients eight were from the city< area and four, one of whom was a traveller passing through from the South Island, wore admitted to the Auckland Hospital from country districts. The remaining five patients were admitted to country hospitals, three going to Tauranga and one to Coromandel and one, to Thames. An 'additional 11 cases sent to hospital as suspects have since proved to be negative. No positive cases have been reported since Tuesday in Auckland, Thames, and Tauranga districts.
