RUGBY, May 26.

One of the characteristic gates to Hyde Park, with its lodge, is" to be demolished as part of a street improvement designed to reduce traffic congestion. A round-about is to be constructed at Victoria Gate, where the Park carriage drive leading from South Kensington over-the Serpentine Bridge and the other drive from the Marble Arch debouch on to Bayswater Road.
