LONDON, May 25.

The Brest-Litovsk correspondent of the "Manchester Guardian" discloses details of a terrible Polish pogrom in Brest-Litovsk, which lasted fifteen hours. During that time the Jewish population of 22,000 was at the mercy of the mob. Whole ; streets of houses and shops were wrecked and looted. Synagogues and schools were demolished. Hundreds of the poorer Jews were ruined.

The rioters, chiefly peasants, were lee", by Fascist Anti-Semite Party agitators. The most sinister feature of. the pogrom was the attitude of the more respectable non-Jews, who often applauded the looters, though others Courageously saved Jewish property from destruction.

The Minister of the Interior has ordered an inquiry. :
