IN THE FLOWER GARDEN
' -.Cut down- chrysanthemums which have, finished flowering. Remove weeds and fork in a little bone dust to encourage.:sucker growths. Dahlias may be cut back to within 4 or .6 inches of the ground. See that the clumps are clearly marked and name labels attached to each. Rake, up and 4 store fallen leaves at frequent intervals. When rotted down they make valuable material for many purposes; Every effort should be made to get the whole garden cleaned up with all the beds dug or forked over. - Plant out seedlings of hardy plants where available in all but very cold districts. , Cut down delphiniums, Michaelmas daisies, Heleniums, etc. Make preparations for planting shrubs, trees, roses, etc. The ground should be well broken up to a good.depth and allowed to settle before planting. \
