(By Telejriph—l'rest Association.)
AUCKLAND, May 26.
There is reason for the belief that the clothing, including a painter's white coat,: found on a bridge across a stream at Karaka early last Sunday morning, belonged to Mr. G. A. Woolley, o( Tanrred Street, Linwood, Chrincrturch; Mr Woolley was a painter by tride and a few weeks ago he came M> to Auckland.,
An unemployment levy book found with the clothing bore the name "George A. Worley," and bore tne same address as Mr. Woolley's. Th'j difference in the:two names gave the Auckland police ' some trouble at first, but ;tbday:la-*rela<;ive ot'Mr.3Foolley's in-&rrhedihem-phs hsid reasbii for thinking the two men were one. Inquiries, were made, and it was "discovered that when Mr. Wpolley came to .Auckland recently he suffered,ill'health. ;
The police have' dissipated the suggestion tnat the clothing found at the side of the bridge might have been stolen from the missing man.
