DINNER PARTY

SUCCESS CELEBRATED

;The winning team of the "Coronation Marching Competition" (held at the Coronation Show .Stadium) celebrated their success with a dinner given in their honour by the directors of Macduffs, Limited, at the Empire Hotel. The party commenced with sherry in. the lounge, the toast being "The Team."' Dinner was then served amid ■.gay surroundings, the table decorations* being huge bowls of cerise coloured cyclamen. Upon their return to the lounge the team was congratulated upon its success by Mr. E. C. Boyd, who made presentations, on behalf of the team, to Mr.. O'Neill, who trained them so successfully, and to Misses J. and F. Dale, who were responsible for their, uniforms.' Each member of the team was presented with a suitable memento of the occasion by the directors of Macduffs, Limited, and Mr. L. O. Boyd and Mr. W. T. Richards complimented them upon their efforts, expressing their desire that similar teams would always represent" the firm'in the future activities of "the Wellington Girls' Inter-house Association. Among those present were Mrs. L. O. Boyd and Mrs. E. C. O. Boyd. V '

A theatre party concluded this happy entertainment.
