DIVIDEND FROM SUGAR
The Fairymead Sugar Company, Ltd., Sydney, reports a net profit of £43,733 for the year ended December 31, compared with £29,857 the previous year and £29,706 for 1934. The authorised cppital has been increased to £500,000, and a distribution of bonus shares to shareholders absorbed 132,500 of the additional shares. In addition, 95,000 shares were allotted to the . Malayta Company, Ltd., for cash. Subscribed capital has thus- been increased from £265,000 to £492,500. The v company is paying 8 per cent, on the larger capital, compared with 10 per cent, for -each of the previous two, years. The dividend requires £39,400, and £4696 is to be carried forward against £313 brought forward. Depreciation amounting to £10,902 has been provided for, and reserves have been difawn upon to the extent of £132,500 for the capitalisation of the bonus issue.
