NEW EXPRESS TRAIN
"CORONATION SCOT"

The London, Midlands-and- 'Scottish Railways new strearrilihed " express train, named "Coronation Scot," made its first appearance yesterday as a complete unit. The engine, the lines' of which suggest power and speed, is the first of five locomotives of thil type which will draw the "Coronation Scot" on the 400 miles route from London to Glasgow in six and a half hours. It weighs over 160 tons, and is expected to travel along a considerable section of the west coast route drawing a train weighing 297 tons at a speed of over 100 miles an hour. The exterior painting of the coaches harmonise! with that of the engine. The interior panelling is of different woods in each coach. Timbers from various.tarts o! the Empire i predominate.
