HONORARY SURGEONS
REQUEST FOR INQUIRY
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, May 24. The honorary staff of the Auckland Hospital intends to persevere with its request to the Minister of Health that an inquiry should be held into the legality of the recent election of members of the staff of the Auckland Hospital Board. When the recent appointments of honorary stu-geons were further discussed at a meeting of the staff tonight it was reported that no further intimation had been received from the Minister relative to the suggestion that an inquiry should be held. The meeting issued authority for further representations to be made to the Minister in the matter. It was obvious from the discussion at the meeting that the strong feeling of the staff formerly expressed remained unchanged, and a strong committee was appointed to collect data for reference to the staff at a special meeting to be called for an early date. The feeling was expressed that delay might be misinterpreted to indicate acquiescence in the present conditions, and the committee was urged to expedite its report.
