CONTRACT BRIDGE
The Wellington Bridge Club's individual ladder competition resulted in a win for Mrs. Jackson and Mr. H. Burns, North-South, and for Mrs. Caldow and Mr. Petry, East-WCst. The recreation evening goblet competition was won by Miss Kirwan and Miss Davis, North-South, and by Dr. and Mrs. Hutchison, East-West. The first round of the ladies' afternoon teams-of-four tournament was played on Friday. There are twelve teams in this competition, and the leading teams at the close of the first round were:—Mrs. P. C. Rose, Mrs. F. Gill,' Mrs Godfrey Wilson. Miss Z. Chapman. 2180 points; Mrs. H. Nathan, Mrs. L. H. Wood, Miss A. Bunny, Mrs. F. Reading 1390: Mrs. Erie Johnston. Mrs. G. F Jackson, Mrs. A. S. Houston. Mrs. Win ton-Brown. 1090: Miss C. M. Bunny, Mrs. yon Zedlitz. Mrs. H. H. Young. Mrs. Hutchison, 1030.
