* Technicals showing against Huiet a week ago gave added interest to tne match between that team and Wesley, but the Naenae ground was too heavy and rough for good combined play. Both teams started well, with short-passing rushes, Technical having slightly the better of the exchange^ mainly because of the excellent stick work of the forwards and halves, and the soundness of the backs. .However, the ground cut up in the first.ten minutes and the altered speed of ; the ball had an adverse effect on the combination and stick work.
