MIRAMAR V. PIRATES

Miramar and Pirates met at the Polo Ground in a hard and somewhat rough game. Miramar, with better combination in the backs and a pack of determined forwards, managed to win, but they did not have it all their own way. Early in the game Grcenall scored for Miramar and Troy, con-

verted. 5-3. A few minutes later I Taylor crossed, Troy again converting. 10-0. Hard play followed and Love scored an unconverted try for Pirates. 10-3. Greenall opened the second half by crossing for Miramar, but the try was not converted. 13-3. Shortly afterwards Drury (Pirates) scored and Tichbon converted. 13-8. After a long kick, Taylor carried the ball over and Troy converted. Scrambling play followed and the whistle blew with the score Miramar 18, Pirates 8. The referee was Mr. T. J. Taylor.
