Friday's closing prices for the following raw materials were as follows, those for May 14 being shown in parentheses: — Cotton: Liverpool quotation, good American middling, spot, 7.29 d a lb (7.12 d); June delivery, V.lOd a lb (7 .Old). Rubber: Para, lid a lb (not auoted); plantation smoked ribbed sheet, 10 7-16 d a lb (10 11-16 d). Jute: June-July shipment, Indian jute, Dundee quotation, £22 17s 6d a. ton (£22 10s). Copra: June-July shipment, South Sea to London or Rotterdam, £15 12s 6d a ton (£ls ss); smoked, to Marseilles or Genoa, £14 15s a ton (£15); plantation, Rabaul to London or Rotterdam £16 12s 6d a ton (£l6 ss). Linseed oil: £32 a ton (same). Turpentine: 38s 9d a cwt (39s 3d).
