A vein of .whimsy ran through the New Jersey, strike situation when , the estranged wife of an industrialist joined the picket line of his employees carrying a'banner .^reading: "It's unfair to the workers." It is reported that her divorce suit, just filed, charges her husband with living extravagantly. She is asking for, 1000 dollars a week alimony, and induced the workers to demand ■ a'higher wage. ; - ■
■ At ; Columbus, Ohio,. deputy/ sheriffs armed with clubs ejected;7s men'and women after a two-day sfedown strike in the office of Governor Davey., They demanded a ,50,000,000 dollars ' relief appropriation. Five- were sent ■to gaol and two are in hospital suffering from cuts on the head.:, ' .
