The Premier of Ontario (Mr. Mitchell Hepburn) refused.to deal with a delegation including Mr. Thompson, of the Automobile Workers' Union of America, or "any other paid foreign agitator of the Committee for Industrial Organisation." The president of the Automobile ■ Workers' Union (Mr. Homer Martin) then arrived/for consultations.- Mr. Hepburn declared that he similarly was unacceptable, and insisted that the General Motors Corporation had made concessions which would assure a settlement of the strike "except for John L>.
