Mr. Albert Bigelow Paine was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, in 1861. He was literary executor of Mark Twain, a member of the. National Institute of Art and Letters, and from 1899 to 1909 was associated with' "St. Nicholas's Magazine." He' was also well known as a contributor to magazines.
